Nizhoni Health Center offers the following Therapies:
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy http://CST/NAis a ''hands on experiential" Therapy, no manipulation is used. Osteopaths in the USA based it on the finding of the body's subtle physiology of the craniosacral system nearly 100 years ago. Since then the therapy has been refined and further developed into the subtle, deep healing process which is available today. The client rests comfortable on a treatment table, and the therapist listens via the gentle touch of her hands to the Craniosacral system, which consists of the Cranium containing the brain, the spine with its spinal cord and the sacrum. It is expressed through the flow of the Cerebrospinal fluid, which is bathing the spinal cord and brain. In response to physical or emotional stress, the body's tissue's contract. Any stresses, strains, tensions or traumas which have been stored or encoded in the body in this way will restrict the body's and mind's functioning and may give rise to problems over years. Effects may be both physical (i.e.Fibromyalgia, back pain, migraine or digestive disorders or more severe physical symptoms) and emotional ( i.e. such as anxiety and depression or more severe psychological/emotional symptoms ). Restrictions in the body's functioning show up in the way how craniosacral or cerebrospinal fluid motion is expressed. By using the hands and verbal communication to reflect back to the body the pattern it is holding, the therapist provides an opportunity for the body and mind to let go of its restrictive patterns and return to the blueprint of the body (how it was before any trauma, Embryology). It is so gentle that it is safe for people of all ages, from babies to the elderly, and those in fragile or acutely painful conditions. Please read more at our page Snoezelen Room
Equine Facilitated Therapy (EFT) is a 2 hour session. It will start as Biodynamic Craniosacral session, as explained above, for a client-led ca. 40 min session on the table. Then we will visit the horses outside. Our Equine partners will facilitate a gain of knowledge of safety and how to empower yourself in your own healing. This will be accomplished with establishing and building relationships by utilizing groundwork activities. There is no horsemanship and riding involved. No horse experience is necessary. After the client feels a profound resource communicating with the horses and therapist (ca. 40 min), we will go back on the table to continue with Craniosacral for the remaining ca. 40 min., to measure and feel the profound results our Equine partners facilitated.
EFT can be its own modality without the Craniosacral approach, also modified to Family Therapy for individuals and groups.
Snoezelen Room under construction. The effects of a tranquil place like our planned Snoezelen room is of great benefit to stimulate all senses. As it can simulate a 'whomb like enviroment' with calming effects for the nervous system, it provides enough controlled stimulation to get the client ready for daily life activities. In combination with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Equine Facilitated Therapy or as own modality, it creates the environment to access the 'blueprint' in the body, before all trauma or disabilities occurred. Accessing this recourse, 'the blueprint', our embryological state, will be of great benefits to remind our system to let go of encoded (stored) trauma and fosters healing. Clients will benefit showing less symptoms and improved relaxation. Snoezelen therapy is beneficial for all ages, many symptoms and disabilities, from chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's, Asperger's Syndrome/Autism, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Childhood abuse and a wide variety of other disorders.
Hot Stone Therapy
A gentle full body therapeutic massage focused to relax Body and Mind. It can be scheduled as massage only, as Hot Stone Therapy only or as a combination of Massage, add on Hot Stones and AromaTherapy, where specific aroma oils will be applied.
Thai Yoga Bodywork
Thai Yoga Bodywork or Nuad Boran is a centuries old practice originating from the ancient teachings of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
TYB is performed on a soft floor mat with the client or receiver wearing loose comfortable clothing.
This Bodywork is focused on warming and flushing the muscle groups, mobilizing the joints, then assisting with painfree stretching, creating a feeling of lengthening, balancing and opening. Sometimes called ‘Lazy Mans Yoga’, Thai Massage is a passive workout. The receiver achieves a feeling of general relaxation and openness in the body.
TYB can be customized to the receiver’s needs and any level of fitness or flexibility. Thai Massage can enhance your athletic endeavor: pilates, yoga, running, hiking, biking and riding.
TYB can also be used as a Self Awareness Tool.
Athletic/Sports Massage focuses on muscle groups relevant to a particular sport.
Post Rehab Fitness focuses on muscles needing more treatment after Physical Therapy.
Neuromuscular Triggerpoint DeepTissueMyofascial Release focuses on specific disease and injuries.
Geriatric Massage focuses on the specific needs an older person may have, from overall conditions like a more fragile muscle and bone structure to specific conditions like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
Lymphdrainage is a hands on technique designed to activate and cleanse the human fluid system. It's process involves the use of subtle manual maneuvers to aid in the recirculation of the lymphatic flow.
Prenatal/Postpartum/Infant Massage-Instruction Touch improves physical and emotional health. Pregnancy affects both of these aspects. Regular massage therapy sessions can make the difference between a comfortable, low stress pregnancy rather than one defined by aches and pains. Prenatal massage is a benefit to both mom and the unborn baby. The rapid changes the postpartum woman experiences can be expedited and supported with massage therapy. Ongoing massage will help ease backaches, stress, fatigue, headaches and post-partum depression.
Infant massage is a parent tradition within many ancient cultures. A number of important elements help the bond between parent and child: eye to eye, skin to skin contact, facial expressions, soothing sounds, cuddling and smell. Infant massage incorporates these critical elements of bonding. Parents will learn how to massage their babies while a certified instructor demonstrates on a life-like doll. Classes can be held in the basic 1 class per week for 4 weeks, or they can be "baby" ran. Classes can be private, either at your home or at Nizhoni Health Center.
Spinal Reflex Analysis -SRA- is a safe, fast, non-invasive and profoundly effective way to eliminate muscle and joint pain, increase freedom and ease of movement and maximize physical performance in both athletics and activities of daily living. Developed by Dr. Frank Jarrell of Spinal Reflex Institute Intl, SRA is the only system to adress the most prevalent cause of neuro-musculo-skeletal pain and dysfunction, the Axial Spinal Reflex (ASR). ASR's are hard wired in our nervous system. These reflexes originated as a defense mechanism contracting specific patterns of muscle fibers instantaneously to move our bodies out of danger and into position to defend ourselves. ASR's are automatic. SRA can reduce or eliminate these reflex reactions providing a profound reduction in symptoms. It focuses on the neurology that drives our symptoms, rather than the local symptom itself.
